How do I join the Evolution Initiative DayZ server?
On launch day the IP address and a connection guide will appear here. You will be able to add the server to favorites in the in-game DayZ browser or via the DZSA launcher. The exact launch date is announced in the Discord.
Is the server free?
Yes, the server is free — just connect and play. There is an optional donation that covers hosting and development, but it is not required to play.
Which map does the server run?
The server runs on Chernarus — the classic DayZ map.
Is it a PvP or PvE server?
It is a PvP server. Evolution Initiative is a story-driven hardcore PvP survival server: other players are a real threat. The core DayZ loop (hunger, thirst, threats) stays intact, with unique narrative systems layered on top.
How many slots does the server have?
The server supports 40 players, with a weekly restart.
How is it different from other servers?
